About Me

Hi, I’m Natasha — the heart and hands behind Sycamore Keepsakes.

I create keepsake bears, memorial jewellery, and meaningful handmade gifts designed to preserve the memories that matter most. Every piece I make is created with care, patience, and deep respect for the stories behind it.

How It All Began

My journey with sewing started at school.

I had always struggled academically due to (undiagnosed) dyslexia, and school often felt challenging. Then I discovered textiles during my GCSEs — and everything changed. For the first time, I found something that truly clicked.

Sewing wasn’t about exams or essays. It was about creating something with my hands. It gave me confidence in a way I hadn’t experienced before. Textiles became the subject where I found joy, pride, and a sense of achievement. It showed me that creativity was my strength.

From that moment on, sewing became more than a subject — it became something I loved. I continued crafting and making handmade gifts for family and friends, slowly building my skills and confidence over time.

The Heart Behind My Keepsakes

Over the years, I realised how powerful handmade keepsakes can be. A familiar fabric, a well-loved shirt, or a tiny baby outfit can hold so much emotion. Being able to transform those items into something lasting felt incredibly special.

Then, after losing my dad, memorial jewellery became deeply personal to me.

My husband gifted me a ring containing my dad’s ashes. I remember how comforting it felt to wear it — having him close to me, especially during difficult moments. That simple, beautiful piece gave me a sense of connection I hadn’t expected.

That’s when I began to study and learn the craft of memorial jewellery myself. I wanted to offer others that same comfort — something tangible to hold onto when words aren’t enough.

Why I Do What I Do

Sycamore Keepsakes was born from love, family, and the understanding that memories deserve to be preserved.

When I’m not sewing or creating jewellery, you’ll usually find me with my husband, our three children, and our two lively border collies, out on muddy walks and family adventures. Those everyday moments — the laughter, the closeness, the memories we’re making without even realising — are what remind me why preserving life’s most precious chapters matters so much.

Every bear and every piece of jewellery is handmade by me from start to finish. I don’t outsource. I don’t mass-produce. You speak directly to the person creating your keepsake.

I understand that what you’re sending isn’t “just fabric” or “just ashes.” It’s love. It's a memory. It’s someone you never want to forget.

It’s an honour to be trusted with something so precious, and I treat every piece as if it were for my own family.

Thank you for being here 🤍
